About

My name is John Forester. I am a writer based in Nashville, Tennessee.

In discussing controversial and complex topics, it is necessary to blur the lines of statistical and empirical knowledge. The world reveals itself in many forms, be they refined and specific, or rough and equivocal. Much phenomena of nature and of society cannot be quantified, nor will ever be fully understood. My experiences in life have instilled in me a desire to question popular opinions regarding what is fact and what is fiction.

Writing is not simply my passion, my outlet, and a means of self-discovery, my writings tell the story of my search for pragmatic truths about the human condition and my unending inquiry into the extraordinary mysteries of life.

Thanks for the visit. I enjoyed glancing over your content – you have a knack for imagery and personification that I admire. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that you’re a Nashvillian – I am as well. I love that this town continues to attract more and more creative types outside of the music industry. We can’t all be musicians…

  26. skipmars says:

Fact v. Fiction … if you relegate fact to the universe outside your thought and capabilities to imagine, then fact narrows down still to handfuls of data. But, if fact is the product of thought, it is infinitesimal. Hence the writer. But that was true well before humankind’s ability to write, etch, draw, stain, notch or otherwise record.

Writing is for pleasure, for outlet and here you say it is for seeking truth.
The sincerity of your words baffle me as I find no truth around me.
Your search should lead you to find the eternal truth.
    Thanks for following Meenas Poems.
Hope you find a percentage of truth in my poems.
    All the best.

    1. John Foster says:

There are, in my opinion, so many truths which we participate in each and every day. Whether they are carnal, social, psychological, existential, spiritual or otherwise, there is an endless abundance of truth before us, but we may not be equipped at each moment to see or understand it. I think every writer (in his or her own unique way) journeys down this path, and personal truths as well as universal truths are present as much in my work as they are in yours! Thanks for your thought-provoking comment.
